Registry Tweak to Change “Photo Viewer” or “Photo Gallery” Background Color in Windows

Windows OS comes with a built-in image viewing program which is called " Photo Viewer ". Its a very basic image viewer which allows you to view images and to perform a few basic operations on images such as rotate, zoom, delete, set as Desktop background and slideshow. It also allows you to print the image, burn the image to a disc or email the image to other people. "Photo Viewer" program comes preinstalled in almost all Windows versions such as Windows 7 or Windows 8. If you want a more advanced image viewer, Microsoft provides a better program " Photo Gallery " which is a part of Windows Essentials (previously known as Windows Live Essentials) suite.

Enable Hidden Secret Animation in Details Pane of Windows Vista and 7 Explorer

Its turn of Details Pane in Windows Explorer. Windows Vista and Windows 7 Explorer comes with Details Pane at bottom which shows useful details of selected files and folders. It used to known as " Common Tasks " in Windows XP and used to show at left-side area of Windows XP Explorer. In Windows 8, Microsoft has moved it to right-side area of Explorer. Today in this tutorial, we are going to share a trick which can help you in enabling a secret animation in Windows Vista and Windows 7 Explorer's Details Pane. After applying this trick, when you'll select a file or folder in Windows Explorer, the Details Pane will show its detailed information with a nice animation.

How to Move / Show “Details Pane” at Top in Windows Vista and 7 Explorer?

If you can remember the good old Longhorn days when Windows Vista was under Beta testing, the Details Pane in Windows Explorer used to show at top just below the Command Bar. But in Windows Vista RTM (Final version), the Details Pane was moved to bottom. Same thing applies to Windows 7 as well. There are many people who still want to get the Details Pane at top as shown in below picture:

This new update installs a new application called " Get Windows 10 " which shows a new White Windows Flag icon in notification area (system tray) of Taskbar.
